Occasionally in the Fossil Design Studio, different teams would be given the opportunity to create themed tin designs. Each member of my team was tasked with creating a series of tins based on vintage science fiction pulp magazine covers. I chose this futuristic flying car illustration, borrowed from an issue of Amazing Stories, as a point of departure for my tin design. This series is featured in the book Tinspiration: The Art & Inspiration Of The Fossil Tin.
